Description

Premium 304 Stainless Steel burn pot replacement for ComfortBilt HP21, HP22 series, and HP61 model stoves. Superior stainless steel construction is more durable and resistant to warping and cracking than other steel or cast iron burn pots. When installing the burn pot make sure the ignitor port hole is towards the back of the stove. It is also important to make sure the pot sits flush on the cradle. A gap between the burn pot and cradle can alter airflow through the unit. This can cause issues with startup and cause an inefficient burn.

Multiple Sizes: This is the large version of the burn pot. There is a smaller version available as part BPCast1. These parts are NOT interchangeable, please check your current burnpot carefully and compare dimensions.

1.) Position the burn pot so the ignitor port hole is facing towards the rear of the stove.

2.) Make sure the top edge of the cradle (The area that will accept the burn pot) is free of any ash or debris.

3.) Set the burn pot into the cradle. Make sure the front of the pot clears the front catch and sits flush on top of the cradle (A gap between the burn pot and the cradle can alter airflow through the unit. Which can cause the stove to burn inefficiently and create start-up issues).

Troubleshooting

Cleaning:

It is important to make sure that you are getting proper airflow through the burn pot at all times. Inadequate airflow can cause ignition and burn issues. You should regularly clean the holes in the burn pot to ensure they are free of any ash/carbon build-up. The frequency of this cleaning will vary based on how often you burn the stove, the quality of your fuel, and your vent configuration.

1.) To clean the burn pot, you can start by removing it from the cradle (Make sure that the stove is cool and there are no embers in the pot prior to this step!)

2.) Vacuum or brush out any visible ash or carbon deposits from inside the pot.

3.) Using a small brush, drill bit or Allen wrench systematically clear out each hole in the burn pot.

4.) Vacuum out the cradle area where the burn pot will sit prior to reinstalling the pot.

5.) Place the burn pot into the cradle. Make sure that it is sitting flush and there is no gap between the pot and cradle.

Burn Pot

Just received it in the mail the other day. By the looks of it, it is very robust and will last longer than the cast unit that it has repalced.

SS Burn Pot

This burn pot is a lot better than the cast iron one, nothing sticks to it and fits great on my HP22.

Stainless Steel Burn Pot

Have used this for four days now and really like the evenness of the flame as it burns.
The pellets are a bit noisier as they drop into the pot.
Pot seems to stay a bit cleaner than the cast iron. (We went through two cast ones burning out the bottoms).
School is still out on the life expectancy but the cast were about one to two seasons.

Stainless is best!

This is a really great product and far better than the cast iron that comes with the Comfortbilt stoves. The cast iron “peels” continuously shedding iron shavings and off gases and cracks at the entrance and base far too quickly. I have used this stainless for several months now and it didn’t even off gas when I started using it, let alone shed layers as the cast iron pots do. This is far superior and worth the added expense and will likely outlast the cast iron by years.
