Assembly Instructions For Whitfield Auger End Plate for Profile 30FS & Insert #17250241

Instructions for replacing part # 17250241, Lower Auger Bearing and Plate for Whitfield Pellet Stoves and Inserts

  • Unplug the stove from the power outlet
  • Remove the rear panel of the stove
  • It is sometimes much easier to remove the stove from the exhaust vent too so you can spin the stove around as all of the work you will doing is from the rear of the stove
  • Remove the rear service panel
  • Find the auger motor and remove the wire terminals from the motor
  • The set screw that hold the motor to the auger is a 1/4" allan key, loosen this screw and the feed motor should slip out of the auger shaft.
  • Empty the hopper of pellets
  • Remove the 4 - 7/16" hex nuts that secure the plate to the hopper
  • Remove the auger and plate from the stove
  • Remove the lock nut that hold the nylon bushing to the plate. If your stove uses a brass bushing, no worries, this nylon bushing can be used as a replacement
  • Install new bushing with new lock nut
  • Reinstall auger assembly with the mounting plate in the downward position
  • IT IS SUGGESTED TO ALWAYS INSTALL A NEW AUGER MOTOR WHEN INSTALLING A NEW BUSHING
  • Reconnect auger set screw
  • Attach wire leads to motor and fold them down and away so the rear panel can be reattached
  • Reinstall the rear service panel
  • Attach venting is disconnected
  • Plug in and enjoy stove

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.

I had to use the old plate the new plate did not fit correctly, I used the new bearing at the bottom, the motor was perfect, the stove is running perfect now
