ComfortBilt 250V-10A Backup / Main Power Switch Fuse. This fuse is located in the Main Power Switch on the back of the stove. In the switch there is a spot for an active fuse and a location where a backup fuse can be stored. Failure of the main fuse will render your stove inoperable. It is a good idea to keep a backup fuse on hand at all times.
*Manufacturer has changed from a 6-amp to 10-amp fuse*

FUSE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1.) Unplug the power cord from the main power switch at the rear of the stove.
2.) Locate the small plastic tab at the top of the plug housing.
3.) Using a small flat head screwdriver pull the tab backward. This should allow the fuse tray to pull free.
4.) Once the tray pulls free identify which fuse you want to replace. (The active fuse sits towards the front in the saddle seat. The backup fuse is tucked inside the plastic sleeve just behind it.)
5.) Replace the fuse and slide the tray back into place.

Troubleshooting Notes
If you keep blowing fuses at start-up, here is a simple way to troubleshoot the problem to see which component is causing the short.
NOTE: Before you get too involved in troubleshooting every component, when you have the controller out of the stove to access the fuse, look at the controller carefully on both sides for signs of a short circuit on the board itself. It is usually obvious. If you see any signs of carbon, which looks like a fire or hot spot on the board, or if the controller smells like an "electrical" burning smell, just replace the controller and start from there. This step is especially important if you recently had a power outage and your stove wasn't plugged into a surge protector.
