The P35i Flame Guide Extension is designed to better distribute the flame over the heat exchanger and to prevent the refractory wall from overheating. The extension will slide behind the original flame guide.
This extension is considered a "sacrificial" part that is supposed to be replaced from time to time when it wears out, which is usually noted by warping, a crack forming at the base of excessive flaking of the metal.
The Flame Guide Extension was implemented on the P35i Pellet Insert on June 19, 2012, with product serial #8653368. We also have a Flame Guide Extension Kit available, part #1-00-774338, that can be installed in P35i units prior to that serial number.
When Will My Order Ship

How do you install the flame guide extension for a P35I pellet stove? Does it lay flat against the back wall or lay on the cast iron heat deflector that is standard in Harman Stoves.
