Description

Genuine Original Englander Pellet Stove Burn Pot. Replacement For Part Numbers PU-BP02. Fits Models 25-PDVC, 25-PAF, and American Standard manufactured from 1998 to present. This part is a welded assembly.

Date specific compatibility exists for the following models: 

  • 25-PDVC made 1998 to present
  • 25-PAF made 2002 to present. 


Note: This item requires a wear plate and a gasket, which are sold as separate parts.

  1. Using a 1/2" socket wrench, loosen the two hex screws located under the ash lip, beneath the front door of the stove.
  2. With the screws turned out about 2", wiggle the burnpot free from the back wall of the stove
  3. Scrape the burnpot gasket from the wall of the stove
  4. Replace the burn pot gasket each time the burnpot has been removed.
  5. With you new gasket in place, push the burn pot back into position
  6. Tighten the hex screws back up against the burnpot until they connect with the surface and then turn each screw a full turn, alternating between left and right, until both screw are tight.


Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting Notes

Generally, burn pots are considered a sacrificial item and should be replaced when it wears out. There are 3 parts to the PU-BP/ PU-BP02 burnpot assembly; the weldment, the wear plate and a gasket. Wear plates usually deteriorate first and can be replaced independently of the burnpot. If you are replacing the burnpot, ALWAYS get a new wear plate.


This burn pot should be replaced when the top edge of the pot, the portion of the metal that encompasses the feed tube, becomes warped or any part of the metal deteriorates.


If you have an igniter in your stove and are having problems with the stove igniting on its own, with the auto igniter, you may need a new gasket behind the burnpot OR you may require a new burnpot and gasket.

Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for special parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers are responsible for return shipping charges.

I have a pellet stove that is 20 years old and still functioning. I have changed auger motors, augers, blowers, plates, vacuum switches and igniters. I was worried about replacing the burn pot but much to my surprise it was as easy as 1-2-3 to change it. A little banging and prying it came off pretty easy for being on there for 20 years. It could not have happened if I didn't have a reliable place to get parts for this dinosaur. Stove and Grill Parts For Less have had everything I've needed for my stoves and their shipping is phenomenal. Very reliable, dependable and super fast.
