Description
Replacement OEM Upper Auger Bushing For All Whitfield Pellet Stoves. Genuine Replacement Part. Made From Specially Formulated Brass and Oil Mixture.
The outer diameter of the flange measures 1 1/8" and the flange thickness is 1/8". The housing inner diameter measures 7/8". The total length of the bushing is 1/2". Sold individually.

Remove the entire assembly
Construct a tool: Secure a 1/2" OD washer between two lock nuts on a threaded rod at least 6" longer than the auger shaft
Pass the washer up through the inner diameter of the bushing
rotate the washer slightly so that the edge of the washer catches the 1/8" reveal of the bushing and pull with quick hard motions until the bushing comes loose
Lower bushing removal:
For a brass bushing on the lower plate, strike the bushing with a mallet until the bushing comes free, replace with a nylatron bushing part# 12021101

Replace your auger bushing if:
The auger shaft is loose fitting inside the bushing. There can be some play but no light should be visible between the bushing and shaft
The bushing spins freely in the mounting plate. It should be fixed and not move
The inside or outside appear to be worn
There is dust leaking through it into the mechanical cabinet of your stove
