Install Instructions For Harman Hopper Lid Gasket (3/8" x 1/2" x 6'): 1-00-375501
Instructional Notes
Replacing the hopper lid gasket is a very simple process. Simply pull the gasket up at the seam. You may need to scrape any adhesive and foam that sticks in the channel. The new gasket does need a clean surface to adhere to.
Troubleshooting Notes
This gasket should be changed as it starts to wear and crack. Care should be taken to periodically remove dust and pellet pieces that collect along the edges of the gasket while performing routine maintenance.
The hopper lid on Harman stoves needs to make an air-tight seal for the stove to operate. If air is leaking through the gasket, your stove of insert may feed at a slower rate which could eventually lead to an error code.
For newer stoves and inserts with a touchscreen display, if you are getting constant error codes telling you the hopper lid is open when it is closed, and you have checked the gasket, hinge screws, knob and latch and are still getting an error, a lid calibration may be required. There is a diagnostic "dealer" area hidden within the touchpad where you can calibrate the lid sensor.

Does a Harmon 52 I insert burn pot gasket go bad overtime? The dealer upgraded the burn pot the first year. I have on my insert since 2014 burn 3 tons per year. The ash builds up on the burn pot doesn’t seem to be blowing it off like it was when it was New. I don’t Have any error codes. Would a worn out door gasket create this problem? I never replaced any gaskets because they look ok.
If your stove ignites on its own, the answer would be no. You can use a pellet with less ash content and/ or clean the area inside the burnpot, the stove and the venting.
