This is a fast-acting 5AMP x 20mm fuse that is located directly on the PCB board of all Quadra-Fire pellet stoves and inserts. Owner's manuals discourage stove owners from attempting to access and replace these system fuses as it will void the warranty on these parts if there is still one in effect.

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE UNIT BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS WORK

Accessing and replacing this fuse...

  1. 3-Speed Control BoxSRV7000-704 - CB1200, Castile, Santa-Fe, and Contour; 4-Speed Control BoxSRV7000-206 - Mt Vernon
  2. The fuse is located directly on the circuit board inside of the plastic shell of the control box. There are 2 screws that connect the two halves of the plastic box which need to be removed to open the box. One of the screws will have a tamper-proof sticker reminding you that the warranty for this part is void if the sticker is disturbed
  3. Remove the screws, open the box and locate the fuse on the circuit board.
  4. If the fuse is blown, replace it. Inspect the circuit board for damage, replace the entire Control Box if needed.
  5. The igniter shorting out is the most common reason for a blown fuse, if the fuse is blown, always inspect the igniter loop. Other components may need to be checked.
  6. Stoves and inserts that use the control boxes ALSO have a main system 7AMP x 30mm fuse, 812-0380 that is located on the front of the junction box harness which is directly next the the TSTAT connections and the "RESET" button.
  7. Control Board, SRV7080-050, Mt Vernon E2, Trekker
  8. The control board is located on the back wall inside the mechanical cabinet. The fuse is inside a black or green fuse holder which can be opened by lifting out the top.
  9. This is the only and ONLY fuse for the entire appliance.
  10. Control Board, SRV7000-456 - Mt Vernon AE, AE Insert, Edge 60
  11. Control Board, SRV7000-456 - Mt Vernon AE, AE Insert, Edge 60, Power SupplySRV7000-443 - Mt Vernon AE, AE Insert, Edge 60
  12. The fuses are located under the black plastic covers of the control board and power supply.
  13. The control board has two fuses, the 5 AMP fuse is the igniter fuse, the 15 AMP fuse is for the battery back up system if one is being used.

Warranty

Unfortunately, sometimes products do not work like they are supposed to. We offer a 90 day warranty on manufacturer defects. Some manufacturers make this a very simple and easy process unfortunately others do not. Items must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines to qualify for warranty replacement. Please be advised that warranty claims for these parts may take up to 4 weeks for processing, and customers must cover shipping.
