Description

QuadraFire 2.4 RPM feed motor for most pellet stoves and inserts. This part is commonly called an auger motor. Includes the motor, mounting bracket, capacitor bypass wire adaptor (for use on some models made prior to 2006), and instructions.

Older Models made prior to 2006

  • The mounting bracket fits all Quadra-Fire models made after 2011.
  • Some Classic Bay CB1200 and CB1200i Inserts may require using the stove's existing bracket.
  • Castile Inserts made prior to 2011 use a specific motor bracket that has been discontinued. This motor will mount on the old bracket. Over the years, it's possible that mismatched parts were installed or omitted in the feed assembly for these units. If you have a Castile Insert from this time period we highly suggest buying an updated full assembly to avoid compatibility issues.
  • CB1200 and Contour, and Mt Vernon (OM) models still using the gray, opaque control boxes may require the use of the adapter bypass wire included with this motor. If your motor can plug into the existing wiring connection the adapter is not used.

Note: The Edge60 Built-in and the Mt Vernon AE Pellet Stove/ Insert use a 12 volt auger feed motor, SRV7000-313.

Install Instructions For Quadra-Fire Auger Feed Motor Only with Bracket (2.4 RPM): 812-4421

This motor runs on line voltage which will be roughly 115v. The yellow square mounted to the motor assembly is a capacitor, which is used to flip the polarity of the motor if the motor is under strain from a jam. If this happens, the motor will temporarily reverse the spin the auger, freeing the jam, when the capacitor cools, the polarity will be restored to the correct direction and feeding will resume.

If your stove is not feeding but the motor is turning, you may be turning backwards.

    • the capacitor will reverse polarity if the heat from the stove is warming the capacitor. Make sure the wires are hanging from the proper mounts and not hanging on top of the exhaust blower.
    • When testing the auger, there MUST be at least 1lb of pellets in the hopper to close the pressure switch under normal conditions

If your stove will not feed:

    1. Unplug the appliance, remove the control box, re-install the control box, and plug the appliance back in. A blue light should blink once to six times. Verify these blinks against your stove and set the program accordingly. See Control Box Programming.
    2. Turn on stove, verify the exhaust blower is "ON"
    3. Turn on the thermostat - the thermostat indicator light should come on and feed cycle should start.
    4. If the feed system does not come on: – Check the vacuum switch – Check the hopper switch (if equipped) - Check the wire harness – Replace #2 snap disc.

      QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

If your question does not concern this specific product, use our contact form
      Ask a Question
      • Is this for a classic bay 1200 free standing stove?

If your Quadrafire Classic Bay 1200 FS is manufactured between 3/1/1997 - 2/25/2005 then, Yes, this is the correct replacement for the auger feed motor for that unit.

      • Hello will this fit I have a serial number of 00701206350 thx

this is the auger motor for all Castile, Contour, Sante Fe and CB1200

      • How many bolts or screws hold this feeder motor in place? How long is the estimated time to replace? Is this part in stock, ready to ship? Any other info you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin

This part is used in a variety of different stoves. It takes about 30-45 minutes to replace this motor on inserts. A bit less time on freestanding stoves. On most Quadrafire stoves the feed assembly is held in by two Phillips head screws, the CB1200 uses two hex bolts. The motor itself is held on to a bracket in all feed assemblies by four Phillips screws.

      • What about the 1200 built before 03/97

        All 1200's

      • I have Quadra fire CB1200 and I need a auger motor parts # 7000-500.

According to the manual for the Quadrafire CB1200 Pellet Stove, ending manufacture date 2/25/2005 you will need part 812-4421 if you are looking to replace the auger motor for this unit.
