Description

This is the auger motor mount for models that use the indirect chain-drive feed system.

Note: Early versions of this system used a different motor mount which did not have the tensioner mount and did not have a reinforced weld on the base of the bracket support. Those early systems also used a reduction gear to drive the chain, which was updated to a 1:1 gear ratio. This is the mount for that 1:1 system.

Harman 1-10-677005 motor mounting bracket

If you are replacing a motor mount that does not have this weld you are going to have to install this OEM complete motor mounting kit, 1-00-06626. We also have an aftermarket kit, 1-00-06626-AMP

Install Instructions For Harman Auger Motor Bracket (Advance, Accentra Free Standing & XXV): 1-10-677005-AMP

When securing the motor to this mounting bracket, Harman is nor recommending NOT TO USE the grommet and spacer. Instead, they want you to hard mount the motor to the bracket and forego the use of the grommets. Grommets and spacers must still be used on the original motor mounts that use the reduction gear, however; your stove will run much better if you update all of the parts to the new system, OEM complete motor mounting kit, 1-00-06626. We also have an aftermarket kit, 1-00-06626-AMP

Troubleshooting

  • The motor mount on your stove can become bent from the torque of the auger motor if your feed system becomes jammed. This will cause the chain to keep skipping off of the sprockets, even if the sprockets are replaced. This is most notable on motor mounts that did not have the base support weld.
  • If your mount is bent, there is a good chance that the gears in your auger motor are also damaged. It is suggested to replace the auger motor 3-20-08752 whenever this bracket is replaced.

Ask a Question
  • Is this a solid bracket? No rubber bushings

Correct, there is no rubber bushing. Harman stopped putting the rubber bushing on this bracket. They found that over time the bushing would wear down and throw off the alignment of the chain and sprocket feed system.
